Jim comes to The Club with more than 34 years of experience operating complex and multi-amenity facilities with development, pre-opening, opening, major renovation/construction, and concurrent operations. Previously, he held the title of chief operating officer at The Lodge of Four Seasons, a 358-room, multi-golf course resort facility in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, and The Club at Porto Cima, a private golf and yacht club in Sunrise Beach, Missouri. With more than 30 years in lodging hospitality, Cleary’s experience includes operating upscale luxury resorts (Cache Creek Casino Resort, Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, The Phoenician), leading diverse teams, a demonstrated commitment to exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction, and the launch and operation of the world class golf course Yocha Dehe Golf Club.

Jim and his wife enjoy spending time with their children & grandchildren who live across the country, home improvement projects, traveling, skiing and (of course!) golfing.

PAUL NOLEN
DIRECTOR OF GOLF

Paul is originally from western Colorado, but has spent most of his career in Tucson, Arizona. His career spans the country, starting out in Rancho Mirage, California at Mission Hills Country Club, then making his way to Savannah, Georgia at The Landings Club. He ventured back out west in 1995 and spent 23 years in Tucson, 18 of that at The Gallery Golf Club where they hosted the 2007 & 2008 Accenture Match Play Championships among many other major amateur, collegiate and professional events.

Paul is a graduate of the University of Arizona where he played on the men’s golf team for four years. While there, he won two tournaments including the 1984 Pac-10 Individual Championship. He was All Conference his sophomore year and Honorable Mention All American his senior year.

He was humbled in 2016 when the Arizona Golf Hall of Fame honored him with the Johnny Bulla Award which is “in recognition of an individual who has demonstrated a lifelong professional playing career in Arizona.”

Paul and his much better half, Robin, are looking forward to meeting many new people and enjoying the outdoors in the Reno area.

Leon Teow, Director of Culinary Operations at The Club at ArrowCreek

DIRECTOR OF CULINARY OPERATIONS

Leon grew up in a close-knit family environment where cooking and food meant business. He was in the kitchen helping his mom with her catering business by the time he was eight years old. Leon graduated from Vocational Art School then started his hospitality career with Shangri-La Hotel in Malaysia. Later he joined the Mutiara Hotel managed by Mandarin Oriental and then further traveled to The Princess Hotel in Bermuda.

Leon spent over 10 years with The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company, which gave an excellent opportunity to learn and grow with a first-class organization. During his time with Ritz-Carlton, Leon and his culinary team won the Malcolm-Baldrige Award twice; both the Five Star and Five Diamond Awards and Leon personally achieved Manager of the Year. Leon most recently held the role of Executive Chef at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando where he managed over 25 million dollars in Food and Beverage revenue and 126 employees. Leon shares his love for leading and developing individuals to expand their culinary skills and career.

Leon is the proud parent of three children, Evan (25), Evennie (20) and Jaden (18). He enjoys spending time with his kids teaching them about life from martial arts to cooking while sharing wise philosophies passed down from his father. Leon and his wife, Julie, enjoy traveling and exploring together, everything from nature and cultures to food and art.

Walsh Trujillo, Director of Membership at The Club at ArrowCreek

DIRECTOR OF MEMBERSHIP

Nevada born and raised, Walsh has been with The Club for more than a decade. He began his golf career in the Outside Services Dept. and worked his way to Golf Shop Attendant and Asst. Golf Professional before moving into his current position as Membership Director over the past 5 years.

Walsh enjoys playing and teaching golf every chance he has whether it be at The Club or at a local course in the early morning. In addition to golfing avidly, Walsh is diligent about maintaining his fandom following major sport team interests including football, basketball, baseball, golf, and stock-car racing.

Karin was born and raised in Pleasanton California but relocated to Reno in September 2015 to work at The Club. In her free time loves exploring, going for walks and any activity with water. She shares her time with her son and daughter, both who are in elementary school. She loves working at The Club and enjoys spending time conversing with the Membership, when she’s not crunching numbers.

DIRECTOR OF EVENT SALES

Andy Bomberger, CPCE, is a recognized leader in multiple facets of the meetings & events industry. A UNLV Rebel with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management, he returned to his roots in Reno, NV and has worked in Special Events for the only accredited Art Museum in the state of Nevada as well as the first non-smoking, non-gaming, luxury boutique hotel in downtown Reno.

Andy serves as the chapter president for the National Association for Catering & Events (NACE) Reno-Tahoe Chapter, after having held numerous roles both in Las Vegas and nationally. He donates time and advocates for local non-profits, serving previously on the board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), and now the Reno Philharmonic Board of Trustees.

In his spare time, you might find him on a lake, in an RV, snowboarding his favorite mountains, checking out cars or sharing a belly laugh with friends.

Samantha Duran, Director of Event Sales & Marketing at The Club at ArrowCreek
SAMANTHA DURAN
DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

Samantha contributes over 11 years in sales, business development, marketing & event planning, and an additional 10 years in restaurant experience. Although she received a degree from University of Nevada Reno, she knew that her degree was not her passion and decided to look into the special events industry. Ironically, her first opportunity was at (what was then known as) ArrowCreek Country Club in 2010 assisting the catering department and learning the tricks of the trade. Samantha’s philosophy is that everyone should work in food & beverage at some point because it truly changes your perspective as both a business person and a consumer.

Outside of The Club, Samantha stays active with indoor cycling and pilates, which helps contradict her passion for cooking – specifically all things Italian. Her other loves include music, singing, theater, dance, visiting wineries, big cities, and beaches. She has one fur child, Gandalf the goldendoodle.

Breanna Gard, Director of Human Resources at The Club at ArrowCreeek
BREANNA GARD
DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

Breanna moved to the Reno area in 2014 where she attended the University of Nevada, Reno and received her B.A. in Psychology with a specialization in research. During her time in school, she was working as an Administrative Intern for Caesars Entertainment. She quickly gained the trust and respect of her colleagues and was promoted to the F&B Trainer just a year later. After making her mark in F&B, she was personally recruited by the VP of Human Resources and became the HR Employee Relations Manager for three properties and 4,000 team members. During this time, she began her studies in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and will be finishing up her Master’s Degree this fall.

After honing her skills within Caesars Entertainment, she decided to make the change to The Club at ArrowCreek. She is excited to help build a culture of excellence and genuine care for both members and associates. Her areas of expertise center around Employee Relations, Training & Development, Employee Engagement, and Recruitment.

Lucas Howard, Director of Maintenance at The Club at ArrowCreek
LUCAS HOWARD
DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE

Lucas was born and raised in Reno, Nevada and Graduated from Bishop Manogue Catholic High school. After graduating high school, he decided to chase his dream of being a college baseball player at Southwestern Oregon Community College. After playing for two seasons his elbow gave out which led to surgery and the end to a baseball career. Lucas moved back to Reno to complete his Bachelor’s Degree in Business. This led to a job managing Reno-Tahoe Equestrian Center for three years before joining the team at The Club. Lucas has his Certified Pool Operations License allowing him to manage the maintenance of the pool operations.

Lucas spends his free time camping and fishing with friends and family.

Victoria Keogan, Director of Aquatics and Fitness, at The Club at ArrowCreek
VICTORIA KEOGAN
DIRECTOR OF AQUATICS & FITNESS

Victoria’s role at The Club is to encourage Members to become the healthiest versions of themselves, whether in the pool cooling off on a hot day, or in the fitness center building strength and conditioning. Victoria believes recreation and movement to be fun, lifelong experiences that people of any age or level can enjoy. Victoria earned a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science at Hamline University in Saint Paul, MN. She is Titleist Performance Institute Certified and ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. She is a NRPA Certified Aquatic Facilities Operator and an ARC Lifeguard Instructor.

Victoria enjoys hiking with her daughter, Charlotte, and her doberman, Toney. She also loves to bike, swim, ride horses, cross country ski, and figure skate.

Robert Williams, Director of Agronomy at The Club at ArrowCreek
ROBERT WILLIAMS
DIRECTOR OF AGRONOMY

Rob was born and raised in Newcastle, Australia. He contributes over 30 years of Turfgrass experience in Australia, England and the USA. He has been a GCSAA Class A member for the last 12 years. Rob participated in the Ohio State University International Intern Program working at Oak Hill Country Club in New York, Cimarron Hills in Texas (construction and grow-in phase) and Montreux Golf & Country Club in Reno Nevada.

Rob enjoys his spare time with wife, Mandy, his five children, and two grandchildren.
