August Kicks Off All Things To Do This Fall
While August is certainly still considered a summer month, Northern Nevada begins to see the first shift in weather with evening lows in the comfortable 60s.
At The Club at ArrowCreek, our Fall 2026 Bocce League begins right in this sweet spot on Wednesday, August 26th. Teams arrive at the bocce courts around 4 PM, sip cocktails, warm up, and engage in friendly competition each week. The season ends with championship rounds on Wednesday, September 30th.
Accompanying the bocce league is our Wednesday Night Music Series on Tony’s Patio. Members and their guests dine al fresco to the soundtrack of local musicians in the background. This music series remains one of our Membership’s favorite things to do this fall, with weekly performances running from May through mid-October 2026.
August also begins The Club’s series of wine tastings and food pairings. This Thursday, August 20th, The Club will host Aonair Winery from the heart of Napa Valley. Members will enjoy a four-course dinner featuring lobster, salmon, short ribs, and elk chops, each meticulously paired with the perfect varietal and education from an Aonair Winery representative.
The Club is excited to introduce something brand new to the list of things to do this fall: Young Professionals Meet & Greet! This new club allows Members under the age of 45 to gather, network, and meet new friends in the same stage of life. The first of these events will begin this Friday, August 21st at The Club’s pool complex.
To close out the month, we’re excited to embark on some Reno-Tahoe hikes with our Sierra Nevada Hiking Club. On the last Friday of the month, Members (and their four-legged friends) enjoy early morning meet-ups on some of our region’s most scenic trails. These expeditions are filled with friends, fun, and incredible views. These hikes make the list of best things to do this fall, with fabulous weather expected for our August 28th and September 25th, 2026 hikes!
