The Club at ArrowCreek Brings on New Upper Management
As The Club at ArrowCreek continues to undergo a $50 million renovation project, new upper management is being added to the team. In addition to new general manager Jim Cleary and director of culinary operations chef Leon Teow, The Club has recently brought on several new team members.
Breanna Gard has joined The Club at ArrowCreek as the private golf and country club’s human resources manager where she will employ her skills in employee relations, training and development, employee engagement and recruitment. Most recently she served as the HR employee relations manager for Caesars Entertainment, working with 4,000 team members across three properties. Gard received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno and is currently pursuing her master’s in industrial and organizational psychology.
Serving as assistant golf professional is Sean Duckering. The Clovis, Calif. native competed in hundreds of junior golf and high school golf events and holds the TRAC high school scoring record of 65 alongside PGA TOUR professionals Nick Watney and Bryson DeChambeau. Duckering received his associate degree in applied business with a concentration in golf complex operations and management from the Golf Academy of America in San Diego. He brings with him five years of experience in teaching, club fitting and club repair, and is currently an apprentice in the PGA Program.
Originally from North Carolina, Whitney Yates joins the community at ArrowCreek as restaurant manager. With over 19 years of industry experience, Yates strives to provide excellent service with a focus in front of house training and team building. After receiving her master’s degree in social work from N.C. State University, she returned to the hospitality industry as a consultant traveling and opening hotels and restaurants across the U.S. Most recently she served as general manager at Sandy’s Pub and the Oasis Bar and Grille at the Resort at Squaw Creek.
Luis Blanco will serve as The Club’s purchasing manager. The native Floridian started his hospitality career at Loews Portofino Bay where he held many roles including executive steward. There he oversaw purchasing and inventorying all china, glass and silver, ensuring the company’s $17 million banquet season went smoothly. Blanco holds a degree in hospitality management.
