Our Reno Country Club History Through The Years

The Club at ArrowCreek, a name synonymous with luxury and excellence, has a storied history reflecting the evolution of a prestigious country club and an entire community. Let’s take a step back to trace the remarkable journey that has shaped this institution into what it is today.

1996—The Beginning of Everything

Southwest Pointe Partners LLC and Western Management LLC have acquired 3,200 acres in the picturesque foothills of Southwest Reno. They aim to create an exclusive gated community with two stunning 18-hole golf courses, a state-of-the-art resident’s center, a vibrant commercial center, and 1,090 carefully planned residential lots. 

Additionally, the development will feature beautifully landscaped common grounds, providing residents with a serene and harmonious environment.

1996-1998—Designing of The Golf Courses 

Arnold Palmer was selected to design The Legend Course, while The Challenge Course was entrusted to John Harbottle and Fuzzy Zoeller. As a result, residential homes and The Club were established. 

1998—Memberships are Created

The ArrowCreek Club is now offering memberships, marking the beginning of an exciting new era! To kick things off, the golf courses host a prestigious celebrity round featuring legends Tom Watson, Lee Trevino, Fuzzy Zoeller, and John Daly. Join us for an unforgettable experience filled with talent, camaraderie, and the joy of the game.

1999—The Clubhouse Opens its Doors

The clubhouse and golf courses are open to members and the public for play. Enjoy a round of golf, indulge in the clubhouse amenities, and experience the best of both worlds at our prestigious establishment. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just starting, our facilities are designed to provide a memorable experience for all. 

2002–We Transitioned to Become a Private Club

The Club, a renowned establishment, has recently transitioned into a private club. This change offers exclusive access and enhanced amenities to its members.

2005—The Community is Expanding

The developers transfer the management of the Home Owners Association, the resident’s center, and the common grounds to the residents of ArrowCreek.

2008—More Growth and Development 

Golden Gate Golf is thrilled to announce its recent acquisition of The ArrowCreek Country Club, a significant milestone that further strengthens our position in the golfing industry. With this strategic move, we are excited to offer an unparalleled golfing experience to our valued members and guests. 

2014—The Club at ArrowCreek starts Operating

Golden Gate Golf has recently filed for bankruptcy, resulting in a significant change for The ArrowCreek Country Club. The Friends of ArrowCreek (FOA) emerged victorious in acquiring its assets and rebranded it as The Club at ArrowCreek.

The FOA, consisting of 56 dedicated members and investors, has successfully preserved the clubhouse and both golf courses. They have also organized various social events, fostering a strong camaraderie and belonging within the membership.

2018—Lucky Star Golf LLC Acquires The Club

Raymond and Jeanne Conrad, through their company Lucky Star Golf LLC, have acquired The Club at ArrowCreek.

2018-2021—Renovations Start

The Club at ArrowCreek has recently completed a transformative $65+ million renovation and expansion; we renovated the pool and other amenities for our members to enjoy. As a result, members can now choose from four different membership categories, each offering an array of elevated amenities that surpass the original offerings. 

This enhancement has truly elevated the experience for all members, providing unparalleled luxury and enjoyment.

2022-Present 

The ArrowCreek community boasts a thriving neighborhood of more than 1,000 elegant homes, each with a median sales price of $2.15 million. The prestigious Club at ArrowCreek stands tall, offering close to 800 memberships and catering to a daily influx of over 2,200 esteemed members. With an ever-expanding community, ArrowCreek continues to flourish and thrive.
